The Golden Chariot - Pride of the South

Golden Chariot is a luxury tourist train and derives its name from the Stone Chariot in the Vitthala Temple at Hampi. The train connects tourist destinations in the Indian states of Karnataka, Goa, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and the union territory of Pondicherry.

Detail Itinerary

Day 01, Bangalore (Monday):The day 1 begins with your arrival at Bangalore and get welcome from Travel Cooper representative. Get transfer to Hotel Leela Palace. Relish on Indian cuisine during lunch at Jamawar, The Leela Palace - Bangalore. Than go for exploring Bangalore attractions like "Tipu's Wooden Palace, Basavanagudi (Bull Temple) largest monolith Bull statue, and Lalbagh Botanical Garden." Thereafter, get transfer to Yeshwanthpur Railway Station to board 'The Golden Chariot luxury train.' Overnight on Board the Golden Chariot.

Day 02, Kabini (Tuesday) : The royal motorcade will arrive on the 2nd day, at Kabini. After breakfast drive to Kabini / Bandipur through the forests of wilderness and adventures. Arrive at Kabini and get refreshed and go for nature walk or boat cruise.

Post - lunch enjoy Film show on Indian Wildlife, and go for jeep safari to Bandipur National Park. During jeep safari enjoy wildlife attractions at Bandipur like "elephant, gaur, sambar, chital, wild boar, Tiger, and Leopard." Thereafter, visit a temple perched atop Himad Gopalaswamy Hill, the highest peak in the Bandipur range. Overnight stay at Bandipur jungle resort.

Day 03, Mysore (Wednesday) : On the 3rd day enjoy breakfast at Kabini / Bandipur and proceed to Srirangapatna. Arrive at royal city of Mysore, and go for exploring the Mysore attractions. The sight to check out is 'Daria Daulat - Tipu's Palace' and enjoys lunch.

Thereafter, you will proceed to Chamundi hills. The major attractions to witness are sights of Mysore Palace, the Amba Vilas Palace, Mysore and elephant ride. One can also enjoy cultural show at Rangayana. Later Drive back to The Golden Chariot & dinner onboard Mysore.

Day 04, Hassan (Thursday) : The regal caravan of Golden Chariot on the 4th day, after breakfast onboard The Golden Chariot will reach at Hassan. The entrée to Hassan will follow with drive to Halebid the-Hoysala temple architecture tour and thereafter, drive to Belur also far famed for its Hoysala temple architecture.

Come back to enjoy lunch and thereafter, explore Shravanabelagola attractions of Jain temples, trekking to Indragiri Hill, and witness the world's tallest monolith Lord Gomateswara statue. Come back to Golden Chariot for dinner and overnight board.

Day 05, Hampi (Friday) : The fifth day will start with arrival at Hampi the world heritage center. Soon go for discovery of the grand heritages. One will get glimpses of "Virupaksha temple, Hampi Sacred Centre, Vittala Temple Complex, Anegundi village, and Royal centre." Later, in the afternoon enjoy lunch go for shopping at the Craft Bazaar and later return to The Golden Chariot for dinner onboard.

Day 06, Gadag / Pattadakal / Badami (Saturday) : The tour of the 6th day will start with visit to Badami. The tour will get forth from Badami to exploring attractions of 'Pattadakal - World Heritage Site.' Have lunch, and go for shopping at the crafts bazaar in Hotel Badami Court.

Thereafter, visit - Badami Caves the 3rd Century rock cut cave temple at Badami. Come back to Gadag for departing at Vasco, Goa. Dinner onboard The Golden Chariot.

Day 07, Goa (Sunday) : The 7th day, trip of royal Golden Chariot train will arrive at Goa beloved as the Pearl of East. Check out the Goan beaches, sea foods, and night parties. Popular attractions to check are "Basilica of Bom Jesus, Miramar Beach and the city of Panjim- bustling with shops and tourists. Later, drive back to the Golden Chariot, Dinner onboard The Golden Chariot. Journey back to Bangalore.

Day 08, Bangalore : The 8th day your tour of Golden Chariot Train journey will come to an end with arrival at Yeshwanthpur Railway Station.
